Easy Scrambled Eggs

Do you ever wonder what it would be like to have the best meal it the world? This easy protein-packed recipe for scrambled eggs is how you’ll achieve that in your home with just a few simple ingredients. 

What you’ll need:

  • 3 Large Eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • Dried and chopped oregano (optional)

What to do:

  1. Crack your eggs into a medium sized bowl.
  2. Using a fork, vigorously whisk the eggs until they are one solid color. Add the salt.
  3. In a pan on medium heat, add the butter and let it heat until slightly bubbling and turning golden brown. This is to add extra flavour and to keep the eggs from sticking to the pan too much.
  4. Add the egg mixture.
  5. Sweep your spatula across the pan from edge to edge every 10 seconds, being careful not to burn them. This will cook your eggs evenly.Eggs on a cracker
  6. The eggs are done when they are soft yet solid and almost gelatinous.
  7. Garnish with dried and chopped oregano and enjoy!
  8. For extra fun, put it on a bagel for extra flavour or crackers for bite-sized goodness!

Variations:

Bell Pepper Scrambled Eggs

Use olive oil instead of butter. Add the olive oil and ⅓ cup of finely chopped bell peppers to the heated pan and let it cook until peppers are at desired softness. Add the eggs and cook. Top with oregano and serve.

Cheesey Eggs

Just before the eggs are fully cooked, add around ¼ cup (or to taste) of cheddar cheese. Fully melt the cheese into your eggs and eat warm. Bonus: add cooked bacon to your egg mixture before adding it to the pan if you’re feeling extra satisfaction is needed.

This is a recipe that can have many different variations with it. Just about anything can be cooked with it, from something simple, like spinach, to something as bizarre as chocolate chips. The possibilities are endless! Try experimenting and tweaking it to your own taste and enjoy it for a delicious, filling breakfast.

Note: Bacteria from undercooked eggs can harm your health and in some extreme cases can cause fatal results. Make sure your eggs are fully cooked with minimal amounts of liquidy or undercooked egg.
