Seeing as summer vacation is fast approaching, frozen hot chocolate is the perfect transition drink between the hot and cold weather. If you have an extra package of hot cocoa mix left over from the winter months, and you are craving a cold, chocolatey drink, this recipe is perfect for you.
-1 ½ cup milk
-½ cup hot cocoa mix (or 2 packages)
-1 ½ – 2 cups ice
-Whipped cream (optional)
-Additional hot cocoa mix (optional)
- Pour milk into blender.
- Add hot cocoa mix and ice.
- Blend first at low speed and transition into high speed until ice is finely crushed and slushy.
- Pour into a tall class and top with whipped cream and a dusting of hot cocoa mix, if desired.
- Serve with a straw, and enjoy!
This recipe is so simple, and perfect if you want a hot chocolate, without the ‘hot’. Good luck, and happy summer!
